Effective date: October 12, 2026
The short version- We collect as little as we can: mainly your email address if you sign up, and what you choose to post.
- We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t share it for targeted advertising, and there are no advertising trackers on Astronaria.
- The birthday you enter for horoscopes and numbers is stored only in your browser. It isn’t sent to us.
- Every connection to Astronaria is encrypted (HTTPS).
- You can unsubscribe at any time, and ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it, wherever you live in the US.
This Privacy Policy explains how ebranding OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 14440091) (“Astronaria,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you use astronaria.com, The Morning Alignment newsletter, the Astronaria app waitlist and our community features (the “Services”). When the Astronaria app launches, it will have its own privacy notice, which we’ll show you before you use it.
- Email address, and your name if you choose to give it, when you create a free account, subscribe to the newsletter or join the app waitlist. Joining the waitlist creates a free account and subscribes you to the newsletter.
- Your content: comments, posts in our community when it opens, questions, personal stories and messages you send us.
- Your preferences, such as which newsletters you receive.
- Technical data that every website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider uses it to deliver pages, keep the Services secure and prevent abuse.
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We use our publishing platform’s built-in, first-party analytics, which doesn’t use cookies. It tells us which pages are read, how visitors found us (the referring website), the type of device and the approximate country. If you’re signed in, your reading activity may be linked to your account in our internal reports.
- Email engagement. Our newsletter may record whether an email was opened and which links were clicked, so we know what readers find useful. You can block this by turning off images in your email app, and we won’t use it for advertising.
Some features work entirely in your browser, using your browser’s local storage. This includes the birthday you add for horoscopes and numerology, your sign, your daily ritual progress, your reactions, your lesson progress, quiz results and learning streak, the notes you write in your learning notebook, and your light or dark mode setting. This information is not sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
The free numerology calculator and the learning tools, such as the sign finder, work the same way: your name and birth date are processed in your browser and are not sent to us.
Job applications
If you apply to work with us by email, we use what you send (such as your name, contact details, links and work samples) only to consider you for a role. We don’t share it outside the team and delete it within 12 months unless you ask us to keep it longer.
- to provide the Services, including signing you in, sending the newsletter and emails you asked for, and showing your comments;
- to send your invitation and updates about the Astronaria app if you join the waitlist;
- to understand which content is useful and improve the Services;
- to keep the Services safe, prevent spam and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Use;
- to respond to your messages and requests; and
- to comply with the law.
We don’t use your personal information to build advertising profiles, and we don’t use it to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We don’t use your personal information to train artificial intelligence models, and we don’t let our providers do so.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or use it for targeted advertising. We share personal information only in these cases:
- Our platform and its sub-processors. Ghost(Pro) (Ghost Foundation) hosts the site and stores member data on servers in the Netherlands, under its data processing agreement. Its sub-processors include Mailgun, which delivers our emails, and Tinybird, which runs the built-in analytics.
- AI service providers. If you send us a question or story for publication, we may process it with AI services, such as Anthropic’s Claude, to help prepare it. We use them under business terms that don’t allow them to train their models on what we send.
- Profile pictures in comments. If you comment, our platform may display a profile picture you’ve set up with Gravatar (a service of Automattic). To check for one, a hashed form of your email address is sent to Gravatar.
- Embedded videos, only if you choose to press play. Before you do, nothing is loaded from the video service. After you press play, the video service (for example YouTube, using its privacy-enhanced mode, or Vimeo) receives information such as your IP address under its own privacy policy.
- Legal reasons, if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Astronaria.
- Business transfers, if Astronaria is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We’ll tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your permission, for example when you agree to have your story published under your name.
Comments and community posts you publish are visible to others, along with the name you choose to display.
4. Cookies and tracking
- Essential cookies. If you sign in, our platform sets a cookie to keep you signed in. The site needs it to work.
- Local storage for the features and preferences described in section 1. It stays on your device.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking. We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session-recording tools or third-party analytics, and we don’t use any service to track you across websites.
- Files from public networks. Our fonts are self-hosted. Our sign-in and comment tools load from the public jsDelivr network, and comment avatars may load from Gravatar. Like any server that delivers files, these services receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests them.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we don’t sell or share personal information or track you across websites, we treat every visitor as opted out already. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. There is no common standard for “Do Not Track” browser signals, but our practices are the same whether or not you send one.
We publish content about well-being and health, but we don’t ask about your health, we don’t use what you read to infer anything about your health, and we don’t share reading activity for advertising. If you send us a story or question that includes health information, we’ll ask for your separate, explicit consent before we use it, and you can withdraw it at any time. Please don’t post private health information in comments or the community, because others can see it.
We don’t collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account details or precise geolocation.
- Account and newsletter data: for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your data within 30 days, except where we must keep something by law. If you unsubscribed, we may keep your email address on a do-not-email list so we keep honoring your choice.
- Waitlist data: kept with your account until you ask us to remove you from the waitlist or delete your account.
- Comments and posts: until you or we remove them. When your account is deleted, your comments are deleted or no longer linked to you.
- Technical logs and backups: kept by our providers for limited periods under their own retention schedules, then deleted or overwritten.
We protect personal information with reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, and our hosting providers maintain the physical security of their data centers. All connections to Astronaria are encrypted in transit using HTTPS (TLS). Sign-in uses time-limited links sent by email, so there are no member passwords for us to store. Access to member data is limited to people who need it to run the Services.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and the authorities as required by law.
8. Your choices and rights
Choices you can make any time
- Unsubscribe from any email with the one-click link at the bottom.
- Update your account, including your email and newsletter choices, in your account settings (Account, at the top of any page).
- Delete your account by emailing privacy@astronaria.com.
- Leave the waitlist by emailing privacy@astronaria.com.
- Clear local data by clearing your browser’s site data for astronaria.com.
Your privacy rights, wherever you live in the US
Several US states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others, give residents specific privacy rights. We offer the same rights to everyone in the US, whether or not your state’s law applies to us:
- Know and access the personal information we have about you, and receive a copy in a portable format;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling. We don’t do any of these, but you can still submit the request;
- Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights.
To make a request, email privacy@astronaria.com from the email address on your account, or tell us which address to look up. We’ll verify your request by confirming it through that email address, and we’ll respond within one month. If we need more time, we’ll tell you why and how long it will take. You can use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to confirm your identity.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@astronaria.com with “Appeal” in the subject line. We’ll respond within the time required by your state’s law, usually 45 to 60 days. If you’re not satisfied with the result, you can contact your state Attorney General.
California. In the last 12 months we collected the categories described in section 1: identifiers (email address, name, IP address), internet activity (pages viewed, email engagement), approximate location (country) and the content you choose to post. We collected them from you and your device, for the purposes in section 2, and disclosed them only to the service providers in section 3. We have not sold or shared personal information, and we don’t knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. California residents may also ask about disclosures for direct marketing (“Shine the Light”); we don’t make any.
Nevada. We don’t sell covered information as defined by Nevada law.
9. Children
The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact privacy@astronaria.com and we’ll delete it. We don’t sell or share the personal information of anyone under 18 and don’t use it for targeted advertising.
10. Our company, the GDPR and international transfers
Astronaria is written for readers in the United States, but it is operated by ebranding OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 14440091), which is established in the European Union. Because of that, we handle personal information in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) wherever you live, and ebranding OÜ is the controller of your personal information.
We process personal information on these legal bases: to perform our agreement with you (your account, newsletter and waitlist), our legitimate interests (keeping the Services secure and understanding which content is useful) and your consent where we ask for it. In addition to the rights in section 8, you can restrict or object to processing and withdraw your consent at any time. You can also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon, aki.ee) or to the data protection authority where you live.
Our platform stores member data on servers in the Netherlands. Some of our providers, such as our email delivery and AI service providers, process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If a change is material, we’ll notify you by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect, and we’ll ask for your consent where the law requires it. The date at the top shows the latest version.
