New moons are traditionally used for planting intentions. The Libra new moon on October 10 falls a week after Venus turns retrograde, so astrologers suggest intentions about the quality of your existing relationships rather than new ones: more honesty, more reciprocity, more rest.

The ritual: write three intentions in the present tense, read them aloud and put the page somewhere you’ll see it when the moon is full on October 26.
